BETTER HOMES, BETTER ROADS, BRIGHTER FUTURE

Hi, I’m Callee!

I grew up in a small town outside of Salem. After high school, I followed in the footsteps of the generations before me, serving in the US Navy for four years.

Like many of us in Springfield, I love living here for the welcoming small-town community that also has the energy and opportunity of a growing city. I enjoy working for our local tenant association, serving on the Springfield Planning Commission, and helping out at the Springfield Public Library.

As your city councilor, I will fight to create safer and more affordable homes, revitalize our roads and neighborhoods, and ensure a strong livelihood for the generations to come. I hope you’ll join me in building a brighter future for Springfield!

  • "Springfield faces complex challenges: housing affordability, economic development, sustainable growth. Addressing them requires councilmembers who understand not only the issues but also the proper role of elected office. Callee Ackland understands. In the time I’ve known her, I’ve been impressed with her focus, professionalism, and empathy – all characteristics I value in government officials."

    - Tasi Clancy, Springfield resident and healthcare professional

They have to have real world experience. This is what Callee will bring to the Council. She also represents a younger generation, is a veteran, and a renter."

    - Chava Kronen, retired Housing Outreach Specialist for Lane County families

  • "In Callee, I see a leader who fundamentally understands that in public service, the citizens are the boss. Callee Ackland will answer your email, return your call, and listen to your concerns. She will remember that she works for the people of Springfield. I believe she is the leader our city needs."

    - Shaun Daniel, Springfield resident and environmental educator

  • "In a time when our community benefits from leaders who can bridge differences with grace, Callee stands out for her unwavering commitment to treating everyone with genuine respect, politeness, and deference, regardless of politics or personal relationships. The way forward is together, and Callee is someone with a demonstrated ability to build connections across differences."

    - Diane Peterson, Springfield resident and gun tragedy prevention advocate

  • "She dedicates herself to showing up when it matters and even when it doesn't; a quality that can go far in preserving the community's trust in a public body. Springfield needs councilors who understand this community and who already possess the skills and knowledge to support decisions being made. I believe Callee Ackland is all of those things."
