Hi, I’m Callee!

I grew up in a small town outside of Salem. After high school, I followed in the footsteps of the generations before me, serving in the US Navy for four years.

Like many of us in Springfield, I love living here for the welcoming small-town community that also has the energy and opportunity of a growing city. I enjoy working for our local tenant association, serving on the Springfield Planning Commission, and helping out at the Springfield Public Library.

As your city councilor, I will fight to create safer and more affordable homes, revitalize our roads and neighborhoods, and ensure a strong livelihood for the generations to come. I hope you’ll join me in building a brighter future for Springfield!

  • As the cost of living increases, homes become more expensive and lower quality, our roads continue to crumble, and the next natural disaster is a looming threat, we need bold leadership like never before.

    I believe housing and food are human rights. I believe the next generation deserves better opportunities. I believe an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. I believe government should work for the people, not the elite. And I believe our community is stronger when we stand together.

    I am running for Springfield City Council to champion these ideals and fight for our working families. Monied interests will be lined up against us in this race but our plan to win is all about knocking doors and talking to every possible voter. Join us!

  • During my service in the military, I honed strong organizational skills and a thorough attention to detail, as well as a continued devotion to the Navy’s core values of honor, courage, and commitment. From my years as a small business owner, I developed persistence, creative problem-solving, and financial resourcefulness.

    Now in both my profession as a tenant rights specialist at the Springfield Eugene Tenant Association and my role as a Springfield Planning Commissioner, I have acquired meticulous research skills and an understanding of city code and state law.

    I also care deeply about having a more functional, responsive, and inclusive government. As your next Springfield City Councilor, I will provide important representation as the only renter and the only veteran at the table. I will fight to create safer and more affordable housing, to revitalize our roads and neighborhoods, and to ensure a strong livelihood for the generations to come.

  • A city councilor is your local representative and policymaker, making long-range decisions on behalf of the city. They are responsible for passing local laws, approving the city's annual budget, determining zoning regulations, and overseeing the delivery of essential city services like the library, road maintenance, and public safety. Councilors appoint members to various city boards or commissions, and provide direction to the appointed City Manager. They act as a bridge between the public and city hall, by listening to community concerns and advocating for local improvements. City Councilors work for you!

    In Springfield, this is an unpaid position, elected at large by city voters.

  • I live in Ward 4 and am running for the Ward 4 seat, but all Springfield City Councilors are elected at large, meaning if you are a registered voter anywhere within Springfield city limits, you can vote for me!

  • Campaign expenses add up quickly! From the flyers we hand out while canvassing, to mailers and lawn signs and ads in our local newspaper, and even the monthly cost of having this website online, it costs thousands of dollars just to reach all the voters in Springfield.

    And because I work a day job and can’t do this all alone, I also pay a local experienced organizer to manage my campaign and our wonderful team of volunteers who donate countless hours to support our shared vision of a brighter future for Springfield!
